How to choose the right awning adapter (bracket) for your vehicle
Procedure based on the Fiamma Tech Info 2026 catalogue: “How to choose the right adapter” (cat. p. 94), the van conversions and camper vans chart (cat. pp. 20–43), the adapter index (cat. pp. 98–99) and the bracket tables (cat. pp. 100–121).
1. Type of vehicle
- Van conversion / camper van – use the fitting chart: pick the vehicle brand in the table below or open the full fitting chart (cat. pp. 20–43). For each model it gives the appropriate bracket, awning, bike carrier and ladder.
- Motorhome or caravan – use the adapter and bracket tables (cat. pp. 100–121), grouped by awning model; the catalogue has an alphabetical adapter index on pp. 98–99. See also motorhomes and caravans.
2. Vehicle data: brand, model and year
- In the chart find the brand and model, then the row matching the height (H), length (L), year (≥ from / ≤ up to) and the roof equipment in the Notes column (e.g. roof rails, “C” rail, lift roof, fixing bar).
- The Same vehicles column lists models with the same body (e.g. Fiat Ducato III-IV / Citroën Jumper II-III / Peugeot Boxer II-III / Opel Movano III).
- Body dimensions (H, L) are shown in the vehicle dimension drawings (cat. pp. 4–19); on the brand pages they are next to the table.
- For vehicles equipped with a fixing bar the catalogue says to check the installation height of the awning (cat. p. 20).
3. Installation and awning model
- Wall installation: F45 (F45s, F45L, F45eagle), F43van, F35pro / F35 – see wall awnings and manual awnings.
- Roof installation: F80s / F80L, F65eagle, F40van – see roof awnings and manual awnings.
4. Read the chart cell
- Each awning column (F40van, F43van, F45, F80s / F65, F35) gives the adapter code → available awning length in cm, e.g.
98655-680 → L2 - 300 L3 - 350= adapter 98655-680, a 300 cm awning on L2 and 350 cm on L3. - “INCLUDED in the awning” means the adapter is supplied with the awning; the available awning lengths follow the arrow.
- Every code has a thumbnail of the bracket from the catalogue (click to enlarge); the bracket tables give the kit contents (column “Quantity / length”).
- Symbols (◊, ∆, *, **, ••, D.B., P.W., D.D., RHD) are explained in the legend.
- Bracket codes in the catalogue bracket pages are for the left guide unless otherwise indicated (cat. p. 98).
5. Check before installation (cat. pp. 94–97)

- Read the assembly instructions. If you plan an enclosure or a side panel, position the adapters taking into account doors, windows and the garage opening.
- Check compatibility with the vehicle and that the wall/roof is strong enough at the anchoring points; install the awning only when the brackets are perfectly aligned.
- The words “SUPPORT” on the awning must be at the brackets. Keep a distance from lights and ventilation grills and check that the entrance door opens with the awning fully extended.
- Before installation degrease the bracket, clean the wall with non-aggressive products, slightly sand the surface, use suitable sealants (to keep water out of the holes) and a matching primer.
- Install roof adapters on the flat portion of the roof to ensure good alignment.
- Brackets must be aligned with each other; if the wall is not perfectly straight, place spacers between the bracket and the wall (cat. pp. 95–97). The adapter must be mounted linearly, without curves or deformation.
- Brackets come in standard (aluminium) and black finish (cat. p. 95).
- Details: installation advice and warnings.
