Preliminary checks
Read the instructions and warnings carefully; failure to observe the installation and usage instructions and the driving laws of the relevant country may cause severe harm or damage for which the manufacturer declines all responsibility.
Before installation, ensure compatibility with the vehicle on which the product is to be installed.
Checking that the wall/rear door is sufficiently solid to guarantee the resistance of the anchoring points is always mandatory. If not, strength and the maximum load stated in the instructions are not guaranteed and these points must be reinforced.
When communicating with Fiamma, always refer to the nameplate data (≤ 12/2021: FP code and S/N; ≥ 01/2022: barcode and alphanumeric code).
Warnings
With the Carry-Bike on the rear axle, the normal weight distribution on both axles changes; this must not exceed the maximum permissible axle load. Never exceed the maximum permitted length and total weight of the fully loaded vehicle.
Distribute the load uniformly – the heaviest bike near the vehicle wall (drawing example: 4 bikes × 15 kg = 60 kg).
Always comply with speed limits and the Highway Code; adapt speed to traffic conditions and load (drawing: max. 110 km/h).
Signal the Carry-Bike with an overhanging-load sign (as required in the country of origin); with limited rear visibility use additional mirrors. Take care when reversing, particularly with parking assist.
When towing, the tow hook must stay accessible and the trailer's corner mobility guaranteed (volume per DIN 74058).
Slow down on rough roads; take road bumps within speed limits. Periodically check the rack is firmly attached, especially during the first kilometres and after long trips.
Rotating the bikes' handlebars is recommended to avoid damaging the vehicle wall (Fiamma declines all responsibility).
Van conversions and camper vans: depending on the bikes carried, check visibility of the rear lights; if missing, fit a light repeater bar.
Rear warning sign (500 × 500 mm): PLASTIC SIGNAL – for all European countries except Italy, Spain, Portugal and Benelux; ALU SIGNAL – for Italy (homologated by Italian authorities no. 2606 of 13/05/13).
Features (p. 166–169)

Zoom 4 Bikes – telescopic rail support with a thicker rounded tube and reinforced steel and aluminium elements; up to 4 bikes.
Bull Shock Absorber – system for shock and vibration absorption during travel.
Easy Position – offsets the rails to simplify carrying several bikes; all rails mechanically fixed with rust-free stainless steel screws.
Quick Lock (Quick-safe) – safety strap to mount and lock the wheels on the rail, with easy release.
Rack Holder – locking system holding the carrier racks closed when not in use.
Bike-Block Pro S / Pro S D – base for round or oval tubes Ø 25–100 mm, buttonhole for an anti-theft cable, 360° rotation, fixing knob at the front, curved aluminium tube, locking clamp for Ø 30–35 mm tubes; adjustable joint, scratch-proof rubber insert, anti-theft loop. D versions – central joint makes hooking the bikes simpler (details p. 234).
Quality & safety: all Fiamma Carry-Bikes are tested in Fiamma's laboratories; safety and quality of most models are tested and approved by TÜV.
¹ Printed “Carvan Hobby” on p. 167 – a typo; the product is Caravan Hobby (pp. 170, 189).
Maximum permissible steering angle with Carry-Bike on a caravan drawbar: tan α = B / A, where B = half width of the bike carrier (128 cm / 2), A = distance from the outermost point of the carrier to the centre of the drawbar joint. Example: B = 64 cm, A = 55 cm → tan α = 1.16 → α = 49.23°. The calculation only considers the rack footprint; in actual use, dimension B includes the bikes.
Rail types (p. 168): Rail Plus (tyre max. Ø 3.2”), Rail Quick Pro (max. Ø 2.8”), Rail Premium (max. Ø 2.8”), Rail Premium Fat Bike (max. Ø 4.8”) – dimensions p. 228. Maximum bicycle wheelbase: Rail Plus / Quick Pro / Premium – 1200 mm; Rail Plus XL / Rail Premium XL – 1350 mm.
Carry-Bike summary table (p. 170–171)
Codes, rail and Bike-Block type, maximum load and maximum number of bikes. DB = Deep Black. Fiamma Carry-Bikes are delivered as standard with 2 rails. It is advisable to load the lightest bicycle on the outer rail.
